Not blowing smoke up my ass but was out by 500 compared to Tach.

 

Great instrument.

 

Worth every penny.

so could live without but a nice instrument to have.

How do they attach to the engine, is it simply a matter of clipping to the H/T lead?

 

You just hold them close to the ht cap. (Point the arrow on the tach to the lead/plug) and it picks up the pulse and gives the reading.
