No biggy, it's just that in an effort to be inclusive and not offend anyone the guys who commission the programmes on tv these days give rubbish like Citizen Khan and Miranda big billing, give them guest spots on The One Show and stuff. Then pat themselves on the backs for their forward thinking progressiveness and forget that a comedy is supposed to be, you know...funny.

There is some good stuff on Radio 4 still but they are all tried and tested rather than new stuff. :001_smile:

I liked the old shipping forecast on the BBC Home Service :001_smile:

I've been in and out, I like the Peter Kay character but the young Danny Baker storylines don't really work for me.

[/ame] One Foot in the Grave & Only Fools and Horses were not popular or highly rated to begin with .

Yeah, I liked that scene.

I was thinking about this thread whilst walking round the supermarket, anything involving Graham Linehan is excluded, i.e. The IT crowd, Father Ted and Count Arthur Strong, all brilliant.

Thought it was just me - can't stand Citizen Khan, Miranda or Mrs Brown's Boys - all feel like they are trying too hard. I end up watching stand-up instead, although some of the acts on that are unfunny too - that Shappy Koorsandi woman (which I am certain I'll have spelt wrong) is about as funny as a dose of the squitters in a spacesuit.

Thought the whole point of these three, WAS that they're trying too hard, that's what makes them hilarious!

Each to their own then!!😏
