Small cheap 4x4 for forestry/arb in Highlands

Hello...

I'm after a small cheap (!) 4x4 for forestry and arb work in the Highlands. Normally there's a long drive to work on roads, then some short off-road on forest or estate tracks which can be muddy or snowy.

Ideally it would have diff lock and decent clearance.

It doesn't need to be a pickup, I have an L200 now but end up piling my gear on the back seats so it gets dried by the blowers.

Any recommendations?

Thanks!

Discovery and throw away the rear seats.

Undoubtedly the way to go , the others are both reasonable options but wont go anywhere near as well off road and the fourtrak is 2.8 anyway .

I missed out an 01 TD5 commercial over here last weekend with less than 100 thousand mile , four new tyres ,12 month test and part service history for 2700 (less than2K £)Euro. Still kicking myself .

I cant bring myself to part with my disco commercial. If time permits its getting a makeover and shoved back on the road. :thumbup1:
