when i first started this job when i was younger i was really fit(no where near this guy though) i found climbing really easy but i struggle like hell now to grip onto the tree with my legs, and hold positions, you can get as many gismos as you like to make life easier but strength and fitness cant be replaced only substituted imo

 

well said shrek , i stopped climbing for a bit as i was busy looking at work and surveying etc etc im now back climbing every day and at first i found it realy hard at first and like you said it was much harder holding your self in positons with your legs and quite often i found myself relying on more and more kit but now my fitness has nearly got back to what it was before im finding climbing much easyer again and all the gismos i have bought now make it even easyer . but still at 17 stone i thing weight loss is the next hurdle :lol:
