I don't like gear reviews that claim this is the best product ever. that and i'm not too keen on gear reviews that just list details.

I agree, thats why the tests have to be carried out by someone like me, I'm working daily at the sharp end of treework - If any dealers want to send me free stuff to review pm me.

I would particularly like to review a 12 inch Jensen turntable chipper, Husky 385xp, Kolibri Harness, Yale Bull rope, ISC pulleys, Petzl Ball locks (at least 8). Winch for a Nissan D22 pickup, Unimog with PTO chipper. The new Nissan Cabstar Tipper and well....just send me stuff and I'll review it for you. :tee:

I'll do the reviews/testing with you Jamie.

I would like to see a maintainance section, where one subject could be delt with completley on one issue like checking and changing wheel bearings. All the way to how to rebuild a saw over say four or five issues.Just sharing and showing knowledge that could take years to pick up.

2 articles that spring to mind from last year.

I think it was in essential arb they had an article on rigging software and force calculators. I know its important to know the theory behind forces and rigging, but 4 pages on what accounted for an advert.

Jamie

I thought the rigging article in essentialARB was really good and was pi$$ed of when they didnt follow up on it the following issue.

Would love to see a mag with loads of gear reviews and action shots of tree work (before, during and after), tech tips on climbing and rigging, take down involving cranes. and anything else out of the norm.

The articles I have enjoyed the most are ones about how the job was done in days gone bye and storys about how some one has gone about tackling a tricky job.

Some vintage stuff would be great.
