Been on arbortec boots for 4 year now on 3rd party and never given any pain at all, I am on gecko s so they are a wider foot plate to spred it out.

The boots do take a bit of braking in mind so they will soften with use.

I've had problems wearing spikes with the No Risk climbing boots and with Haix Airpower gold. (Ally Bashlin spikes) got myself a pair of Meindl Airstreams and found them to be very comfy, if wearing spikes can be described as being comfy. I have found that the more rigid the boot is, the better they are with spikes. I also made sure that I've adjusted the spikes to the correct position. There should be two fingers between the top of the shaft and your knee.

If you never want to feel your spikes again try the Klimba air tirrols. Not the greatest boot in the world although I thought they were ok but you can't feel a thing in them. Beware though, this includes brake and throttle pedals.
