550 perfection.... It simply doesn't have the grunt to work all day harvesting timber. Agreed it's a bit Gucci and light but made of tissue paper and has a primer bulb!

 

Only viable single saw option for a day's work is 60cc small enough to send and fell no changing of saw just fuel and fell.

362 all day. Robust torquey and on full chisel. Job done.

The Huskys usually wins with comparable saws, as they have better top end performance and are more "trigger happy" (responsive). The only exception I know of is the MS361.

 

If low end torque counts, you really are using a too small saw for the task at hand, and cutting will not be fast anyway. More important is the torque backup right below max power rpm - but that is never in the specs...

 

This is what I think as well. The Husky vs Stihl talk is kind of like the Chevy vs Ford pickup truck debate. Been going on a long time. I have used Husky more than Stihl over the years, they get up and go. Just talking about the 100, 200 and 300 saws.

I must be as dumb as you then, I have two 362's and while they are decent saws they really aren't in the same league as a 560, in heavy wood or snedding. The dolly 6100, is about the same performance as the 362, I have one of these as well. None of them are as good as my ported 357.

Sounds like we need a few lumps of timber, a good selection of saws and a camera to record some cookie making:thumbup: It has been a while since the last "boys day out" we had a few years ago!
