Sadly you can still hear the chipper and saws being used by someone. Its not that bad as you can still hear the voice over the surround noise. If you are wanting noise cancelation like what peltor and msa offer, you will be looking at alot more money per headset. One issue i knoticed today from a climbers point of view, it is easy to nock the button on the side and change channels

 

Thanks for that Moole, sounds like still very worth while. Could've done with them today - back garden job with a long drag round the house but groundy would still have been in range by the chipper on the drive.

I wonder how they will fair on a wet day with the main control bit mounted on the side? Are they water proof???

Fair point, I wonder if they have been tested on wet wether though,am sure they have but be good to hear any comments.

Did you get yours as a set already in the helmets ? Just wondering how hard it would be to buy the bare kit and mount them myself as I have loads of helmets.

Got mine as a kit Ian but on ear defenders so easy to clip on and off existing helmets as nd when needed or if someone different is in easy just to clip onto there helmet nd go.

Cool john, a bare kit in defenders is about 250 quid so not bad value really.
