I'd just like to know where it was CE marked, and to what spec and also, does it have a EN number or a prEN and if so, what is the MBS.

 

If it can satisfy the LOLER regs then put me down for one!!

You should get one for nothing, take down that big elm with it then write a review!!!

we are making a bigger machine for big stuff its the same but beefy

 

what you got to remember there are lots of things i would like to do to the unit but it all costs money witch then goes on the final price of the unit and as i`m trying to keep this one at a good price for people

 

the bigger one we have is still being tested so unit i`m happy with it and i`ve had it and tried to brake it and given it to some local tree surgeons to play with i`m not posting it

 

and the end of the day i`m keeping or should i say trying to keep the price down on this woody

 

the other unit will be heavy duty but will be more expensive

Why is it that some members 'Tim' feel the need to flame down any members that come up with a new product ?

The guy has identified a hole in the Market for a new product, designed it paid for it and put it into production.

The proof will be in the pudding which I'm sure he'll find out by the end of the show season next year.

Critizing it without seeing it now it's at a production phase isn't far IMO when you haven't seen it in person.

As Steve said, it was meant as constructive criticism. My main point was to highlight the fundamental design of both the Hobbs and GRCS (both products made by different companies, so there is no issue with infringing someone's patent if the basic design was to be copied), and comparing them with SNS's lowering device.

 

You can see where the bollards are postioned on both the Hobbs and GRCS that they both use the tree to help distribute the load, meaning only one strap is required.

great looking piece of kit SNS. I like your positioning of this in the marketplace - Not a GRCS or Hobs, but a good step up from a portawrap. Good luck with it, I hope you do well.

at about a sixth(?) of the price the hobs/grcs, its definatly not aimed at competing with them, but worth the money to only use it occassionally

 

it looks like a good value, lightweight lowering bollard, if that was youre spec, i reckon youve acheived it
