oak giant lizaard, private commission, made from two sections of an oak what i dismantled!

 

still need to get a shot of me riding it painted blue with a old fashioned stone spear.

Wouldn't want to be staggering back from.the pub and suddenly spot that in someone's garden that's for sure, fantastic piece of carving!

Can't work out if what I'm about to ask is rude so I'm just gonna take the chance... How much did you earn/charge the customer for that piece and how long did it take to do?

took about 3 and half weeks, including sourcing materials, removing all (nearly) sap wood, installing and oiling. it was for a mate so i charged £15 per hour and i got to do it in bits and bobs and work whatever hours, which worked will around work/projects. used his telehandler for shifting/making so costs were minimal - don't mind you asking at all pal - where else can we discuss stuff like this?
