Fully aware of that, but I NEVER allow the timber to influence my price, it could be hollow, shook or full of iron. If it ain't happy days :thumbup:

So if it is hollow, shook or full of iron you have to allow more time to get the butt out in rings, hence you should be charging the customer the time it takes you to plank, because if it doen't plank, your going to be moving the butt for nowt.

 

Then the sale of the planks is pure bonus

i would charge 500 quid and get a team of firewood heros to clear my site for me as we worked. and if they are good boys they can take the sawdust aswell. so i would get 3 men for free and a truck and fuel thrown in aswell.:thumbup1:

Would you add tommers fee for planking onto the job or pay him out of your £600
