Went to work with my old man at EVERY available oportunity from the age of about 5 driving any and every piece of machinery from tracked dumpers to 200hp tugs pushing mud barges, from steam dredgers and draglines to long reach Hymacs.

 

First picke up a chainsaw at about 15 to do some supervised crosscutting so that gives me 17 years with chainsaws.

 

Didn't start climbing with rope and harness until I was 18 and a mate made me a kit out of nylon 3 strand !

my old man was a firewood maniac so i grew up in the woods and on the back of tractors and operating splitters. left school did some gargening and greenkeeping but been doing it for a living now 12 years ish. i am 34 next month, but i class myself as retired now compared to how hard i used to work:001_cool:

 

last time i was at your yard doing the powerlines your dad came over for a yap, he was doing a log display for as shop if i remember correctly.

 

ive been doing the tree thing nearly 2 years, alot better than i was at the start but still have alot to learn
