Recomend a small saw for hedglaying

Stihl 150 back handle or Echo 280wes. Think either can come with a 10" bar.

 

When I last looked, I'd seen the echos for as little as £231 all in online.

 

I'm still torn which one I'm going for myself.

Not sure I want to go that small. Most of my hedgelaying is on stuff that has been left long past it's sell by date.

 

Smallest I have used to date is an old Huskie 340 but it rarely comes out as it's as it's as heavy as my 346.

I know what you mean, I was skeptical about the 150 to begin with but the tophandle really impressed me with how it copes.

The 360 is a nice one, if you think the 280 is too small, have a word with Lee at garden machinery in kent, that's where I got mine from

Why do you recommend those two in particular?

for those kind of cuts, i use my echo top handled, but finish off with a pull saw, for those final mm's much more control.
