DEUTX tractors

Just been looking at second/ third hand ones and they seem really well priced against the "main brands" as well as looking fairly robust. Excuse my ignorance but would it be possible to fit a loader to any tractor?

Thanks, Tom

Yes it is, look at Trima and quickie for after market loaders. Just need a sub frame and brackets that will fit the Deutz.

Think Deutz, Same and Lamborghini are one and the same. When we bought our little compact we were asked how we wanted it badged and we had to go with Lamborghini to please the big kid in me. Had some spares and all labeled Deutz. If it's any help our compact has been superb :thumbup1:

1st there was Same

2nd to join was Lamborghini

3rd was then Hürlimann

4th finally Deutz-Fahr

Some of the models have evolved from combined element of all the bands and then released under each brand name therefore like modern cars same goods in different wrappers

Most models are fairly user friendly and also repair friendly so hence keeping repair bills down!

As one first tractors to have forward/reverse shuttles making them a more favourable loader tractor followed by they legendary high road speed and tinted glass nothing could keep up until the Fastrac came along...

yes you can fit a loader to any tractor assuming the loader manufacturer make the brackets to suit your tractor- wouldn't be a problem with a SDF tractor as they are pretty universal.

However, economically it would probably work out best to buy the tractor with it already fitted as new loaders aren't cheap and finding a good used one with the right brackets would be like trying to find hens teeth!

But buying one thats been fitted with a loader chances are there will be significantly more wear to the front axle especially if a rear weight hasnt been used

second hand loaders arnt that uncommon i cant remember the name of the company but theres one in farm trader always advertising them then just buy a new sub frame and fit yourself so long as the joystick isnt something massively complicated

Got to disagree with you there! You're better off buying a tractor that does not have a loader fitted as the farmers tend to abuse them (up our way anyway) SH loaders are common enough and most tractor dealers have no problem taking loaders off of tractors to sell them. You may have a hunt for brackets though./

Had deutz tractors for a while now, first an agrotron 6.00s now a 115 mk3.

Great tractors very well built, mechanically hard to beat but......anything electrical on the newer ones will play up and anything plastic in the cab can break, exhaust system will rot on the bends. I'd have another one though! Transferred my loader between the two but the brackets are expensive but probably no more than similar sized tractor. Hydraulics are very good loads of power. Reasonably economical. If going for older air cooled check for clean engine, more oil means more rubbish sticking to it so gets warmer but nice and simple to work on.
