7.5 ton or 10 ton?

7.5, 10 or 12 ton lorries are all physically the same size , they are only different by the axles and springs. Unladen weight difference is minimal. All require the same operators licence, maintenance and if your driver is under 35 an additional licence. If your going to need a crane then go for a 12 or 13 ton, it will go anywhere a 7.5 ton will, Daf are usually a good bet and used ones from a council or utility company possible where they will have been well cared for

dont forget the driver will have to have his CPC as well, your servicing will be 8 weeks and no more, so go for the biggest you think you need, there are plenty of lease deals out there with good low % pay back, shop around and play one of against the other, remember punters do it to us!

 

Dont need cpc if driving is not your main duty, as in i drive tools to work site to work ie climb trees
