Wasps

Is it my imagination, or are there more wasps around this year? Getting fed up getting stung!

 

First time I stood on a nest just as I started taking a coni down, so fair do's , but today just checking the post! - that really isn't on. Then went for a walk with the dog and a couple of tree fellers in the woods had also just been stung.

 

Spiteful little critters with no place in the ecosystem of you ask me!

have come across about 30 nests in the past 3 weeks, I haven't found them aggressive this year, they were only small nests mind. I don't like them either, horrible bugs.

Strange . couple of weeks ago there was a thread saying theres no wasps about ....

Sorry I posted a few weeks back that wasps were lacking this year . I still have only seen a few ? and the nests I have come across have only ever been small and empty ? South Cheshire so far is low on the wasp count . Although I have been informed that they will be here on mass late September ?

When the apples and other fruit ripen and fall , then you see them .

I can probably count on three fingers the number of wasps I've seen lately.

I'd say there's a lack of them this year, come across plently of bee nest though

They did seem to be a bit slow coming about this year. Found 3 in one garden last week

Got rid of a nest outside my brothers window yesterday, was an angry nest
