Well that's solved the problem of what to get the missus for her birthday.

Could be cooking method. If microwaved with a lid the steam runs back into the beans. Do it old school low and slow not the hob, it reduces the juice whilst heating

Our local Toby carveries have started doing all you can eat brekkies for £3.99

 

Highly recommended, though not too often.

they do bacon, egg (fried and scrambled) sausages, tomatoes, beans, mushrooms and yorshire puds and gravy.... plus toast.

 

You can go back as many times as you like.

 

Down side is when you look at some of the lardies in there and realise what's happening to all the customers.

In homage to this thread I just had beans on toast for tea, with an egg AND cheese on top.

Sorry about chucking this in the mix . As a kid in the early 80s me and my friends used to have a stk n kidney pie or mince meat pie served up in a bowl of Heinz tomato soup .
