self propelled chipper (Shreks wee chipper)

I think the idea that I posted above would work for someone with the time and Steel to make it up.

I have thought about making up a frame with a grab that uses the tipping assembly on the tracked wheelbarrow. Then you could grab the log, pull it back over the track frame and then back out with it.

Long on ideas,short on time.

Or you could just buy a proper mini skidsteer with log grapple...?

Yes,but in my head the timber frame would be demountable so I could replace it with the bucket for landscaping.

Its all irrelevent really. Most of the people are keeping the Logs today. When we do remove them we cut them into rings and load them into the tracked barrow or carry them out with the digger.

I agree with Nick, start draggin brash you big jessy!! :001_tongue:

Too much technology these days, Not enough muscle!! :001_tt1:

No!!no!!no!!

I am much happier spending money on machines than on men.

Most of my profit is made by doing jobs in less time with less men than my competitors.

Machines are always in the yard on time and don't moan if we work late.

It work but only on flat smooth lawns and paths etc. the exact same ones that are easy to push the chipp over by hand! It worked on the job in the picture cos it was a long way and we needed the stump grinder too, but otherwise not worth it.

Th eweight of the chipper bears down on the jockey wheel of the stump grinder but not the drive wheels, so theres not enough traction for slopes or wet ground.

There. I remembered what I had said yesterday.
