Does anyone know of where I can source helper leaf springs for my VW Crafter Tipper? Even with a small amount of weight its sitting on the axel which isn't great. Only comes with 2 springs so would be better with a third in the middle. Based in West Sussex so around this area would be best.

Cheers guys. Just ordered myself two extra springs. £95+vat each, which I thought was good. Heard around that it would cost like £400-£500. Now just got to wait for them to arrive and see how easy they are to fit. Any tips?

yer make sure the u,bolts are long enough BEFORE you start ,make sure you got a good quality socket & long bar or scaffold pipe, & some wd40, :thumbup1:

It comes with the U Bolts so hopefully they are the correct size. I will get them sprayed with WD40 tomorrow so they can soak over the next few days.

wd40 is a waste of time, get yourself down to toolstation and get some of there proper release oil, when you start do do them, a bit of heat and a good wire brushing on the threads will work wonders

My advice would be, When fitting any new leaf springs always have all new fittings and bushes.

Cut the old ones off if they become difficult to undo, it saves a lot of struggling.

I have just change both springs on a navara and it was fairly easy on my own but would have been easier with another pair of hands.
