Pole Lathe bowl Turning thread anyone??

Can't believe this thread slipped under my radar. Now I'm going to keep an eye on it.

I'm looking to get set up with traditional wood working kit.

I've got metal in the garage that need making into a draw knife and froe. Once that's done I can set to making a shave horse and bits for the pole lathe. I keep eyeing up 'poles'. Can I ask what length you use?

I use a bungee on my pole lathe instead of a pole so i honestly have no idea. Heres a few pictures of my lathe though
