You say your present 45cc saw is not powerful enough and always being repaired but you don't mention what make it is. If it's a Gardenline or Chinese saw you may find a smaller equivalent Stihl or Husqvarna or Echo is well up to what you need without going to a higher capacity just more efficient use of what is there.

..and if you use a low profile picco bar and chain it will be fairly swift too.

Many that's for all you posts.

 

I picked up a nice new Stihl MS261 with the 18" bar. I've run it all afternoon cutting firewood and I must admit I'm very happy with it.

 

Nice weight, very low vibration and rips through the wood.

 

Thanks again for the advice, it was certainly worth posting the dreaded what saw title.
