I have one, currently filling big bags and pulling out 1700 pear trees.

It does the job but having had a Kubota aswell I wouldn't call it the best machine, but it get's the job done.

Depends on the price I would say- it would have to be pretty cheap to be worth it to be honest, I can't speak for the newer JCB minis but the few sub 3 ton ones I have used have been pretty gutless. the Takeuchi tb016 I used to have had bags of power in comparison.

On the <10t machines you can't go wrong with the Takeuchi or Kubota, also check out the Hyundais they are a proper dark horse in the market, reasonable purchase price, second to none back up and a decent machine. Never rated the JCB machines always seemed a step behind the rest.

i agree the jcb is'nt that strong and doesnt feel as good as the kubota or the hitachi another good small one is the doosan not too many about though

bobcat was a good machine A-plant used too run loads of them
