I have been cutting up fallen Conifer trees from the storms of 1987 in a wood near Gatwick for the past 2 yrs and ended up with a lot of logs! Are they worth anything as it would be a case of a Tele Handler and a Grain Trailer to extract them?

I'm amazed that leylandii timber has survived since 1987:001_huh: I would have expected it to have turned to mush.

As above, burns lovely once dry.

It'd certainly be interesting to hear how 28 year seasoned Leylandii is to cut and burn.

Pics would be magic too....

..think I'd have asked the question before spending two years at them.....

I'm planning to burn Lawsons' Cypress as a result of the storms of 2013.

Im thinking 28 year old Leylandii will be as light as a feather if dry and like porridge if wet .

As a few of the lads have said , surprisingly good when dry . I keep stuff like this , poplar etc to burn myself and the seasoned leylandii i burnt this year was perfectly saleable . The economics of your stuff need prpoer analysis id say though ...
