Haha your reference to WW1 is the exact point I'm making thanks, do you honestly think a working class Gernan and Brit had such hatred toward one another enough go kill each other, let alone place a huge BANK debt incurring huge amounts of interest to there offspring willingly?. Of course not they were manipulated, coerced and ignorant sadly!

 

 

The main reason we had men go off to war in WW1 and we have such an enormous gulf between rich and poor is because of the mindset of people like you. Try thinking outside the box brother and think of your neighbor and not just yourself then one day like Martin Luther King said or words to the affect of ''one day all men might be born equal''

 

 

What's My mindset?

 

It's that I should look after myself and not rely on the state to feed and cloth and house me!!

 

The state does not owe me a living!

I pay my taxes and get support of the police, nhs etc.

I want the government to leave me alone because whatever party is in power makes no difference as none of them keep the promises that they made.

 

I can't fix the problems of society, I can only try and help friends and family.

Hi all, I used the term "Bullshit" in reply to a comment on this thread yesterday, i have seen this term used loads of times over the years i have been a member so didn't think it was overly rude or offensive and have seen far worse swear words used, anyway i was informed by a Mod i could be banned from the forum, so i apologize for any offence but non was intended, i will think twice before posting in the future. I've had Mr B pm me to kick me into touch. It is his forum after all. There is a time and a place for naughty words. My use of the English language ain't the best! That's why at times I'll throw a 'feck' into conversations to try and get my point across, not saying it's right..... But a time and a place!

What about "damn" and "arse"?? I keep seeing these words posted too (not by you egnsean) They also offend my liberal values but what's is the difference?

Sorry i must be thick, didnt think it was a swear word:blushing: but i worked on building/civils sites and if any one got offended by something like that well you can imagine the stick they would get
