leaving that aside breffni, lets take Zimbabwi for example, it used to feed a sizeable chunk of africa, following Mugabi's mis-rule they are now an impoverished nation.. tribal warfare and disease never happened under white rule.

 

Why did it end up with Mugabe in the first place? The European colonisers controlled everything in Africa then after the war decided to get rid of the colonies without really leaving a decent infrastructure or educated elite in place to take over.

Another good post huck. Although only internet posts people involved are debating and interested in current affairs, please don't lower to shouted insults.

Colonisation became a "dirty word" with the burgeoning liberal elite in europe at the time.
