You've got a short memory Mountain Man! Don't you remember the English riots of 2011? I think the authorities struggled to get that one under control, could have got much, much worse.

They were criminal scum, who I'm pleased to see were made examples off by the courts, not sure they will be as fast to act in the future!!

Erm, wasn't it a labour government who let the fat cats bankrupt the country and trouser millions themselves?

I'm not a fat cat, I'm just a fat little bloke trying to make a living.

I've found it easier under the current mob, though there is still loads wrong.

Erm yes Mark but we live in a forgiving society so we must not judge people for their past discrepancies. Yes they allowed fat cats to bankrupt us but they also a habit of bankrupting us themselves. and yes they like to give their mates presents such as gold etc but we must keep giving them a chance so that one day they may change and actually do something right

Yes Mark, it was a Labour goverment that was in power at the time. Thatcher and Reagan removed the banking regulations that had protected our economies since the Great Depression. Gordon Brown believed that the banks were successful and generating prosperity. Cameron was calling for even greater deregulation at this point as well. The 2008 crash was a long time in the making and would have happened regardless of which party was in power, frankly they were all taken in by the banks. Ultimately it was unrestarined free market capitalism that caused the crash and subsequent troubles. The Tories will never want to regulate capitalism, that would be against their ideology. Thats my view and thas why I'd prefer a left if centre solution

To be serious for the moment I think we are getting sidetracked just a little. Britains current situation has little to do with banks lending or sub prime mortgages. It's to do with monies in and monies out. Monies in is the taxes we pay and monies out is the services we receive from the state. We have a nurse on £16000 a year and 4 managers on £50000 plus to tell her what to do even though they have no medical training. We won't have a full compliment of nurses on a ward because they must give agency staff rights to work who are paid 4 times as much. Also before a bin man goes out to pick up a bag of rubbish . 9 superiors sat in the yard picking up £450000 between them must decide if he can go and pick it up.

That sadly is our problem we are wasting money hand over fist and it's us poor sods out there that are picking up the bill. We should all go lefty, work for the government, all become managers and retire with fat pensions. The only trouble is there will be no one out there slogging their guts out to pay our wages

Thank you. I just thought it was about time we stopped sifting the manure and realised that's our hard earned is being wasted.
