Small loaders

I'm thinking of getting some sort of small tractor or loader.

 

The sort of thing you could take round the back of a house to carry out timber, etc.

 

Just wondered what others have or have used.

 

All recommendations or info on ones to avoid appreciated.

i like the small articulated one that arc uses, dont know the name but i have heard they are really sturdy and manueverable

I use a mini skidsteer....there is plenty of brands to pick from. Would quit tree work tomorrow if for some reason I had to get rid of it.

Have a look at the Avent loader, the company that Marc workes for have one and seems a very good bit of kit.

The CSF Multione is a very good little machine, I'v had a few weeks on one and couldnt rate it highly enough.

I think JCB also make a mini loader.

 

Definately go for articulated over skidsteer, they wont shred wet lawns ect.

i was thinking of getting a transport box made up and sticking it on the rear linkage, we might get a discount for buying 2 huck!:001_cool:anyone tried the boxer loader that is on here in an advert:001_smile:

Dave, I have a CSF multione loader - superb piece of kit, virtually invaluable for tree work. I can get great discounts on CSF machines, as I am still classed as a dealer. If you want to try one let me know.

I'd agree with Ed, they have one with a cab over the road from me on the farm that they hire out as part of their plant hire side. I've had a right good play with it and it's a cracking piece of kit.

Couple more of CSF (smallest, S series): with linkage and spool in use, and bracken bashing with small flail. I've put wider tyres and spacers on for grip and better stability on sideslopes etc., but it's still very handy in tight spaces.

the company i work for occasionally has 2 of the avent ones. a 500 and a 600 series i think. really good bits of kit, they have a topper pallet forks and a timber grab for them i belive. can lift a fair ammount too.
