Yard rent prices?

I think yard space rent is just so variable because no too yards or persons needs from that space are the same, if your smalland only need a bit of storage and can fit in a bit of underused space on a farm and give a bit of rent some logs and the odd helping hand it's easy to find a willing farmer but as soon as you need better access say for timber or chip waggons to get in, hard standing, covered storage space and are actually using the are as working space there not many who ain't using this already so want and need more for it.

Location is also a consideration, both for security and nescience factor, can you only make noise between 8am and 5pm without pissing any1 off so no fixing on a evening or all night firewood sessions.

You might get the perfect place at the perfect price but then council come along and say you need to pay a ridiculous business rates amount per year, in our case for 1 yard we were about to go for this was more than the rent which made it unviable.

ditto the above,well put,,,:thumbup1:, I do however,sub rent small bits out and cover 50% of the yard this way.
