Are these figures from the onboard mpg display or are you calculating the actual mpg at fill up time....

Was going to ask the same question. I only go on actual calculated figures don't trust the onboard gizmos.

I drove from one side of manchester to the other, then did 30mile on the motorway at 65 in the Dmax Auto and got 38.1 mpg.

Edit: Our lass drives it like it was a mini cooper locally and it registers 21.9 mpg

What tyres do you run on it?

Navara Navara navrara! Towing a twin axle trailer full of laurel logs on dual carriage and single A roads = 37.0.

37.0 what, mpg?

Got a '58 Navara and it's done nearly 50k now, always been 24 around town, 28 careful on motorway and f all when towing. Since fitting the mud tyres (Insa Turbo Dakar) I'm getting an average of 18mpg, 22 on a good run and down to 10 very heavy towing.

Regards,

Steve.

I think you might have made a mistake there, 27 if your lucky more like.

These trucks whatever make are not going to give much over 30mpg in normal driving, mostly less, its the nature of the vehicles, having said that, my ranger, on an 07 plate with a chip body on it gives mid to high 20's mpg on a motorway run taking it easy, working it & towing is a lot worse, as it will with any motor, especially with a twin wheel trailer & load up.

I have recorded the mileage, fuel volumes etc for last couple of years in an app. So I am pretty happy that it is accurate at 27.41mpg average. Don't trust the dash version no where near accurate.

If your doing a lot of road work it may be worthwhile getting a torneo cover to go over the back tub just a soft one that can be thrown on before or motorway journey as this will help with fuel consumption
