Stolen sheep

Hi all,

 

I know this isn't tree related but hopefully some of you can help.

 

The other day a friend of mine had 31 of his pedigree Beltex ewes stolen from his farm in Aberdeenshire. The sheep could be anywhere in the country by now. The electric fence had been cut under the cover of darkness and sheep loaded up.

 

The ewes are heavily pregnant and expected to lamb within the next week, all carrying twins. He has been building his flock over the last 10 years to his desired standard and spent a lot of time and money on them. The sheep stolen are to be worth a high five figure sum and it is essential they are returned.

 

They are all Beltex ewes with double tags and blue identification numbers stamped on their backs between 12 and 72. There is a suspected vehicle which has been spotted near the area where the fence was cut which is a black pickup with some sort of canopy and towing an ifor Williams TA510 14' trailer which had been confirmed by police forensics.

 

If you see any sheep matching the description or any unusual movements then please get in contact. There is also a substantial reward for any information that leads to the safe return of the sheep.

 

I hope you will all keep a look out and spread the word, it may not be tree related but I'm sure we can all relate or imagine how it would feel to lose all of our hard work and such a financial loss.

 

If you see anything you can contact myself and will put you in contact with the farmer or contact the Police, it is Police Scotland Grampian area which are dealing with the case.

I would say the chances of getting them back are slim,

Sheep are easy to re register not like cattle where passports .

Apparently a dark coloured pick up with or without canopy and I for Williams float,

Well that narrows the list of suspects down abit,

I also believe they had two arms two legs and a head,

Well we can only hope, the information has been shared across the UK so hopefully something comes up but I know it is a longshot. He's looking at a huge loss so it's definitely worth putting in the effort to spread the word.
