I notice the petition to save him is up to 25,000. I wonder how many have signed the petition to sink him in the Marianas Trench. Though that would be pollution on a somewhat grand scale.

Ask the relatives of all those killed in Brecon and Leeds over the weekend if they think someone who advocates speed and excitement on the roads (and usually smokes the tyres on every car test) is such a 'kin hero.

He comes out with all this crap just for effect. A very good self-publicising dick.

Almost a shame he wasn't on a certain piece of air transport in South America this week.

Don't agree. He has to entertain, and to be fair he always portrayed UK services and kit in a good light.

Sure he skates the line.

Maybe the BBC just can't handle him. I always enjoy his views especially in paper or books, even though I wouldn't always agree with every comment.

I don't think top gear will be the same if he goes. I watch the occasional fifth gear; but top gear was fantastic and it was the Orangutan that made it so.

I agree whole heartedly. Didn't a similar conversation come up during the freedom of speech thread? Calling a spade a spade?

Anyway, it's one of my look forward too shows each week. I like the childish antics and it doesn't take a lot of brain power to watch and digest. Not a keen fan of Hammond I have to say.

Even if he does get sacked he will be back on another channel as they will be queuing up for his services.

Jeremy will stay, he's the BBC's cash cow.

If they sack him I formone will stop paying my TV licence. (You don't have to, check youtube)

Hammond is a good guy, and has his place in the trio (and is a keen biker), May is a technical nerd and helps satisfy the more pedantic and mechanically minded sorts. (Also a keen biker).

Clarkson hates motorcycles, and bicycles for that matter, but he's an interesting, larger than life presenter (and even better journalist in his various colums/books)

He is the king pin of Top Gear, and for the BBC to think they can replace him with Ben Fogle, Tiff Needel, or Olly Murs would just be a catastrophic fail for the Beebs income.

I'll watch and wait.
