:thumbup1: Gotta agree with that. Surprised Toyota haven't sniffed an opportunity TBH. If a 70 series came with cab options, rhd and was only a bit more dosh than the bling pickup I'd order one right now. And only ever have one.

Couldn't agree more! If only we could have the Aus spec 4.5 litre V8 diesels, you would never want for another work truck! And have fun driving it!!!

Inteligent and objective post . :001_smile:

Thank you makes a change for me

For serious towing it's really Land Rover or land cruiser Amazon. But the amazon eats fuel and is poor for tax depreciation only allowed 8 % of value against tax per year due to the high emmissions. Commercials are 100% tax deductible and £230 a year road tax.

All pickups are classed as commercial aren't they?

Its other 4x4 that aren't

Am I correct? :confused1:

Yes all pick ups are commercial. My land cruiser is a 7 seat car and they don't do a commercial. The disco 4 was a commercial but I won't be going their again.

I can't believe how negative everyone is on this thread, by all accounts all the pick ups are crap unles it's a land cruiser and I ain't ever seen a tipper one over here. I love my landrover 130 crew cab tipper to bits!! Perfect for me and I don't have any complaints. It earns me plenty of money and doesn't cost me that much to run. It tows 3.5 tonne, carry about 5 cube of chip and carets all my gear and looks ace!! I won't put a picture up as it will only wind mountain man up:)

Ive had my 130 for over ten years, its 1998 and done 178k, it has not broke down once.

Poor maintenance is generally to blame for breakdowns on land rovers

I thought it broke down no so long ago dean when the fuel pump packed up!:P

No there not crap hodge but as the years go on there getting softer /more refined, great for posing townie boys but as work trucks there not brilliant, I like landrover but just wish there was a little bit more room in them, for such a big bus there's more room in my wife's vauxhall corsa! !!
