True John but I'm the only one in the street with a log burner :thumbup:. These houses didn't have chimneys we put in an external flue

 

HI MICK up the road someone jump the fence helping there self to my LOGS this was on a rented out house SO I STOP HIM DOING THIS BY PUTTING A FENCE 1,8MT HIGH PULLED THERE FENCE MY FENCE THAT STOP HIM TAKING MY LOGS:thumbup1: THANKS JON :thumbup:

Drying wood in suburbia is a massive problem for me all these are at the front of my house and are South facing and I struggle to get below 20% even with two summers drying

 

Gonna build a proper one this year (hopefully)

You godda get the bottom layer off the ground . A pallet will do . See where the bottom logs are black looking . its where they are " wicking " up the moisture .

It could also be all the water running off the roof and splashing off the concrete onto the logs. I found that with my log store which has a front sliding roof and on a hard surface. Put a 6" board across the bottom which sorted it out.

Here's mine. Just need to fill her up. Pallets on the floor. :001_smile:

Well yea . However the wet gets on the ground you godda keep the bottom layer off it ! :001_smile:
