I've been putting c section through my cs100 today, didn't seem that keen tbh

Ok with garden stuff if not to 'earthy' grass cuttings and leaves will just come out the other side. Found if lots of green material feed some nice wood in with it to give it something to work on.

 

No has to be debris free.

These will handle small stones with no damage.

 

When making comparison, also consider that they are self propelled and less than 850mm wide.

Might make them attractive to landscapers?

That's an insane price for something like that.

This is a landscaping tool and on the right job would be a good tool site clearing fence panels root balls the lot could go through.

 

The price is a little high but all Eliot stuff is and it still sells.

Lets clear up a bit of confusion. The picture on the first lage of two machines on a trailer, are in fact two different models. The video of one working is the prof5, which is cheaper than the super proffessional 2000 which has just been redesigned and relaunched. If you saw the later in action, you will see its a far superior machine.

as regard to wet conifer, if you shred with timber, it does not block. You can install a larger screen which is great for bulk reduction,better than dicing on the back of the truck.

what remains to be seen though is how this new machine compares to the old. It was great having a conveyor to discharge the shreddings. Having a blower can only mean more blockages, and it takes power away from the engine. Can the new blower cope with a larger screen fitted for example.

Now I have owned an eliet, I would not go to another narrow access chipper. They are superb

Thanks for that positive post, Mr Dig-dug-dan. Its good to hear someone say it does work, rather than those who speculate that it will not.

 

You are correct, the machine on the front is the new model. The blower is not so much a blower, as a 'thrower'. The material that has passed through the screen ends up in quite a large void. There is a double sided auger which brings the material to an accelerator chute in the centre which literally throws it up the chute.

 

This uses less energy than a traditional blower.

 

I have not seen it in action, but I need to get a few interested prospective buyers together and organise a demo session. Luckily the SW rep lives only a few miles away.

Has anyone had a go with the Cross Country Shredder or the Ultra professional? Do they compare well against a Jo Beau 500 say? pricing back up etc?

To be honest, i keep looking at the minor. For what i do it seems an ideal choice of machine. If i did more work of that nature, that would enable me to justify one, then thats the machine i would go for.
