I bought one a while back. Like it a lot. It does get near new sharpness. Plus added bonus of not grinding away too much. Not a cheap tool.

Looked at the vid on the tube & considered it until I saw the UK price, once again the £1 is less than $1 brigade will be scratching their heads wondering why European sales are almost non existent!

 

$135 in US - £88 at today's rate but £175 UK - complete rip off

 

anyone finding a supplier with sensible prices please post

 

Meanwhile I agree with SB you cant beat freehand.

They do a good job . I tidy my chains with it now and again but at work a just sharpen by hand for speed .

It is a good tool though .

Yes your right there bute a have had it for a while now and it's very good ,yes free hand always be best but this is as good and probably a bit better. It gives brand new chain sharpness and once Set up its fast. Still use free hand when in a hurry but when you spend £135 on a tool you gotta love and use it. Draw back is the new carbide files are £35 each but am sure will come down in price at some point.
