mines a 98 plate, one of the first batch that went over to the transit engines i believe>

 

only real problem i have had with mine in the past has been loss of power, but that was eventually traced to the injectors, and its a common fault. so if your ldv is a little gutless it might be worth replacing these.

If your gonna tow a 1.5 ton chipper and a all day you may want something bigger than a transit :001_smile:

 

Transits and ldv have the same engines and they are both doged by the same problems. Not knocking them since the mercs and canters also have poor engines.

The ldv I have now appears to have 76 Hp where as the transit that I am getting will have 115Hp, this should make a big difference. I cant vouch for the newer LDV's as I haven't tried them but when I had the 6" chipper which weighed less then a ton it towed a lot better.:001_smile:
