Another plus for the Jensen: Chip spray is straight and controlled - no crap all over the road! :001_smile:

My dealer has been doing 100 hour machines for £9K inc VAT for a while now; good deal I reckon for the hours...

That is a big plus. Also the chip is high quality even with the feed rollers going flat out.The hight of the Chute also means you can even shoot chip over a wall or further up a bank if needed.

£9K incl Vat is a steal!

Absolutely! Mine is one of them. Ex-hire but v well maintained, not a mark on it, not abused. Bargain eh! Funny thing was it was me hiring it - and I put 46 hours on it before snapping it up. Same outfit was doing ransomes spider mowers:- £20K or £23K new, 4 available with 7, 11, 11 and 13 hours - £5k each. Bonkers!

SWB - I've got to call in there tommorow and will ask the question. The Jensens come up each time they get to the alloted hours. I asked a while back and was told later in the year. Don't want to embarass meeself or you!

i have used the new green mech , i had it down on demo for 3 weeks , i found it was ok as long as the tracks dont get cloged (which is not that hard) the controles for the tracks are not that good and the hozes for the tracks are externally fitted and could easily be ripped off when tracking throught a woodland etc . as for the chipper i found it to be ok ish but i really would not waist my money on one . personally i would try the new timberwolf tracked chiper that has come out , i have seen it in action and am verry impressed !!! could not comment on the jensen as i have never used one

I agree, the top bar hopper can be a pain on road side and drive ways but ok for site work where there is no need to leave the site spotless. The folding hopper is more versatile and leaves a tidyer job, Cracking good chippper though!!!!!!!!!
