I have one of the little beggers, took that much soil from under my paved path, one of the slabs collapsed. Think I need to get rid of him!

Phostoxin should do the trick. Agricultural suppliers usually stock it. Not sure if you still need a licence to use it.

Just got the keys to my new house & that has a mole problem, as does a client with a big garden. Thanks for the tips.

Yes, it will only be one mole, they can cover an area the size of football pitch

 

They do have very sensitive smell so if you expose each hole & put a little diesel down it generally moves them, once gone try & cave in all the runs.

I tried traps, always forgot where I'd buried them! Dog poo down the hole now, that sends 'em topside then the dogs do the rest!

I doubt it would be propane-air as that has a narrow band of fuel to air ratio that will ignite around 1:14. Acetylene or hydrogen would be better choice.

Ok that makes sense as increasing oxygen fivefold makes things much more flammable, witnes one of the Apollo moonflights

Thanks Joe, I have got one on order and hope that will do it, I did try a big French banger but just covered the lawn in soil and annoyed the neighbours:blushing:

Hope you ordered the tunnel trap and not the one that sticks out the ground!

 

If you catch one, stick it back down the run and leave it, as a message to the rest!
