I would say no, my old boss loved the idea and payed the extra, was like a kid at Christmas and we all told he they were rubbish after about 5 minutes work, they would be great if they got warm but they get toooooo hot mate, there's no medium setting

Reminds me of my father in law. Had a standard issue NHS metal walking stick so to distinguish it he stuck the thermal sticker off his slippers onto his walking stick. He caused a riot as the old folk all wanted a thermal walking stick they had not twigged it was hot due to it being propped up against the radiator.

Have heated handles on all me saws if they get to hot I turn them off. when it's pissing down with rain I have them on all the time it makes the day more bearable

 

Same here. Not only nice when below 0, also on cold wet days.

 

Never noticed it a problem to turn them off when too warm.

Mine packed in on my 560 when I trapped it and bent the bar.

I was miserable.

Fixed it today, one of the contacts had been pushed out of line.

Happy this afternoon working in the rain!

Well worth the extra few quid IMO, as said its not that complicated to turn the switch to 'Off' if they get too toasty....
