made a start on some yew butts today, hopefully attached are pictures of a few boards from the first 2 of twenty three English yews -all wind blow I hasten to add!

My favourite furniture timber. Not just for the look but also for the finish. You can get such a fine level of finish with yew. And with a good wax, like a piece of clean glass.

I suppose kernow stu does deserve a tip- I neglected to mention his invaluable help in extracting this timber , with much sweat I don't think he'd worked so hard for years -as shown in the photo

Looks like he did after giving me a hand on a job in St Ives, banging over a load of disgusting leyllandi, he was happy as a pig in shi !
