Oregon Bar Made in China.

I've always bought oregon bars, chains, and sprockets. Last bar i bought was made in the USA ( it's normally Canada i think).

This oregon bar is from China.

China makes stuff to a price. If you want them to make a decent one, they can do it. If you want junk, they will make that as well.

Not much isn't made in China these days and if it's got components in it there will be some part of most things made in China.

Where's the oil hole or does that one not normally have holes.

Blount inc took the lead several years ago and built a factory in China to cope with the demand from the Asia chainsaw OEM's. The same standards, machines and indeed top engineers from Portland and Canada set it up and still oversee it. It matters not which factory be it USA, Canada, Brazil or China products are all made to the same standard using the same materials.

That is an AO41 mount and feed oil via the hole in the bar to the bar rail, this is common on smaller saws like the Husky 236 and 240 models

Yeah, sorta sad. My 18" Husqvarna pixel bar was made in Canada, if that's any consolation.

 

Well, it's closer to 17" since I sort of had to massage it to fit.

All the bottom /homeowner range STIHL ie chainsaws hedge cutters and Strimmers are now made in China .

 

And last load of roller sprockets' ETC for Honda mowers were stamped CHINA .

K041 bars don't have seperate oil holes - they oil through the upper adjuster hole.

dont knock china, the castings for some of the most precise machine tools are made in china, as was said earlier, you get what you pay for
