Cheers Richie!

Graham, thank you!

I honestly thought I wasn't going to get it but the assessor said I was doing everything right and could see potential but my hinges were all incorrect. He (not that he should have) showed me how to get the hinge as he wanted. I then got them all right with no problems.

Well done! Time to start doing it and learning! Although I prefer to use a Danish pie over split level, never used since the course!

You best buy yourself a shiny new saw as a reward!

AFAIK, they teach Danish Pie rather than Split Level now on the course. :001_smile:

Onwards and upwards now. What you fancy doing next

It would be nice to get a bit of work whereby I can utilise my skill (and I use the word 'skill' in the simplistic of terms...) but I would like to progress on to medium trees. I'm not fussed about climbing, you don't see many hippos in trees :D but I'm happy to do groundwork. I would like to do some woodland management, that's the direction I'm wanting to take my business in. Habitat management, woodland management, and wildlife management all working together to create a diverse habitat where all elements work in unison.

Cheers! Not sure I deserve a new saw, think I'd better repair my Stihl though... :P

You should give yourself a mighty pat on the back (or get someone to do it for you) you are progressing quickly! I have seen a few tree hippos by the way. Size has no bearing on tree climbing.
