I'm looking for a good, reliable metal detector to check butts for nails and shrapnel before milling.

Has anyone got any recommendations for brands and models?

Thanks,

I've got one of those flat wand types that security staff use. It still leaves a little guess work to hidden stuff like occluded barbed wire but seems to ping metal buried to about 3".
