I've just had a Central Boiler 3200 90KW installed, heating a log kiln and our home, very impressed so far.

 

Is it easy to use, light etc?

 

Anything you dont like about it?

 

I have been looking at the smaller one, just to heat my house

You need plenty of kindling if lighting from scratch or charcoal would be even better. Once lit its easy to keep in, as long as the wood is pretty dry.

 

Nothing I don't like really, I've heated our home with out door boilers for the last 20 years, so this is just more high tech.

They are 100KW, 5000l tank and expansion tank and two 65KW hot air blower boxes £26,000 for 1 system installed and ready to dry firewood.

 

Looks like an impressive setup and would have thought that's very reasonably priced given the scale of it.

Does a domestic install come in at under 26,000?! How do you find it?

We have also installed an eco Angus orligno 200 18kw with 1500l accumulator tank. Can't fault it, seems well designed and made. Price of installation can vary greatly depending on where it's going. Ours is in a purpose built shed about 30m from the house. There is a trench between the 2 with a very expensive insulated heat main in it.

Yes we also had to use a heat main, 55Mtr to the house and 15mtr to the kiln, you have to try and get pretty deep, we are mostly on bed rock so it was a tough job, I installed the heat main myself to keep costs down. As well as not needing a tank the Central boilers have the advantage of not needing a building.
