I like the Defenders for the fact that when you need a part you can find them very easily on the interent- and most towns have a Landrover parts place- how many other 4x4s can offer that and be good value too?

 

TBF with other 4x4s you don't need parts all the time.

If you do, what town doesn't have a jap dealership?

I didn't say all the time, but when it does happen I like to know I can pop to my nearest Landrover parts place and on the shelf will be waiting a selection of non genuine or genuine parts priced to suit.

I bet your Japanese dealership doesn't carry all parts for a 10 year old vehicle on the shelf- and if they did you'd need to remortgage your house compared to Landy.

Personally- I need very few parts for my Landrover so your first sentence is irrelevant to me:001_smile:

Ok chaps

Need to buy a new truck but can't make up my mind on a few things so opinions please.

Here's a few items I need please add how you would have it. Please note this is something I will have built up so it does not have to be standard at all design it how you think they should have done it. Budget upto £25,000

 

4x4. Must have

Tipper. Must have

Engine. you choose

Wheelbase. You choose

Chassis. You choose

Body style. You choose

Tipper body material. You choose

And any other bits you can think of. And who do I get to build it?

130 galv chassis, single cab, roller shutter tool box behind cab, ali three way tipper chip box to fill the rest of space,full length roof rack front to back with split where tipper is, side lockers on rest of chassis space, reversing camera, loads of work lights front back and side , salisbury front and rear axles with air lockers or truetrac diffs, wide angle uj`s on prop , 6.2/5 diesel gm v8 with yank auto box and dana transfer box, hydraulic winch front and back, suspension lift with caster correction arms and 33/12.5/15 all terrain tyres.

 

And a coat of blue paint please santa. :thumbup:
