Never seen this before but cannot see difference in performance to say a maul.

wouldn't that be hard on the wrists, with all the twisting on impact? I'd like to try it on something other than clean birch.

It's as weird looking tool! Guess you'd have to try it then make a judgement maybe.

Your grip is light on impact and it spins in your hand . Never used one but the demo I saw seemed to work well

It's 190 quid jon. My neighbour bought one last year so I got a quick go, it's ok for straight grained wood but anything tricky it struggles with. I can get a good fiskars or Gransfors Brüks maul or splitting axe for that and still have change
