weather has been great here for weeks now, the fields are nice and dry. the ash is on the log pile ready for the chop tomorrow lads. even the rotten bit, i dropped it from about 20 feet for a laugh and it broke up nicely.

I had a fallen ash on monday i was ringing it up as i got to the butt stag beetles came out so i made a nice stag pile in the ditch:001_smile:

marc being on a boundary with a farmers field, it had a few big limbs removed years ago that were rotten from the cut to the base, approx the bottom 10 feet. but the poor old girl had a tarmac road on one side and had been ploughed to about 4 feet on the other, the roots didnt have much of a chance either. one of its nieghbours snapped last year, they are saving their pennies for me as wee speak, should be interesting:ohmy:. if it wasnt for the rot-iron fence we could of hauled it back into the field.
