If you don't want a landcruiser have you thought about a patrol ? Or something smaller the nissan parthfinder is nice little 4x4

 

Wouldn't describe the Pathfinder as little!! It is basically a Navarra with a passenger body on.

 

Depends what you want the vehicle to do and how big you need. The Kia Sportage gets a very good write up by Honest John in The Telegraph.

 

If you need more space and towing capacity for work then you have to go bigger and look at Ranger or Amorok double cabs.

 

One thing for certain - there is NO perfect vehicle!

Wish I could keep my 3.1 trooper. Its been a great machine. Engine and gearbox is still good with 178000 on the clock its just the body that's letting it down. I my keep looking for an Isuzu. Trust what you know I suppose.

Why not look for a 3.0 with a 3.1 conversion? :001_smile:

My Disco would pee all over Audi off road Jon! Land Rover is good off road, Tows well, Good on road and plenty quick enough.

pee all over most things for comfort

Towed my work truck, if it wasnt for wing mirrors u would think it wasnt towing.

Highly rated off road

only thing honset john moaned about was the size of the rear seats ( got 7 seats).

Kids love it ( built in tv, seperate sun roofs).
