General consensus on Echo

Hi all, as the title says im looking for the general consensus going now on echo chainsaws. Not too bothered about how they compare overall to stihl and husky, but more about how the saw handles itself as a saw and not a comparison. Good and bad points... the echo top handle has a very appealing price wiyh a 14" bar!

Thanks chaps!

I bought one about 6 weeks ago, as our 200t is getting on a bit. So far so good, it has done everything our 200 t would have done. I thought it looked very plasticky but it seems to be coping with being pulled around the tree. Nothing broken yet. Ticks over and starts very easy, from hot or cold. You need a husky fuel can to fill it, as rhe filler is small. It not to badly ballanced either, so you can use it one handed. If it keeps running like it is now i would buy another one, time will tell. Also its a good bit cheeper.

I have had the 260tes for 2 years and it's taken some abuse with no issues, my only gripe with this saw is the chain break handle is only mounted one side so flexes but okay when you get used to it. Have had the 360tes since release and again, no issues, very nice saw. Then I got the 620sx at the apf and I am very impressed so far, very strong saw and feels very well built. They are great saws, well built and at a fraction of the cost of the competition, it's a win win situation in my opinion

The 360tes is a great saw. It`s slightly prone to chucking it`s chain off and the filler holes are a minor problem, the timber dogs could be bigger too. However it`s got loads of power and is a robust professional standard saw. If I owned one climbing saw this would be my choice at the moment.

Im looking at the cs 360tes, if anyone has one can you tell me the difference as im seeing the same saw with different front grips. One is like normal on a 200t and the other is a curved wrap around style. I can't see any difference in the model name.

I'm thinking that by looking at it I would not get on with the wrap arpund style grip.

I'll post a pic.
