I'm going to suggest something radical here eggs, bare with me...

 

dont install the update

 

We've done that with the last 2 updates but found that a couple of apps got a bit unreliable, guess they were optimised for the latest operating system. Could always not update the apps is suppose 😁😁

well for one...it will solve his memory problems. Unless you NEED to upgrade then why bother! I had to upgrade as i needed to test the IOS would run my arbtalk apps...went through the same as eggs and had to delete stuff I didn't want to delete.

Use iTunes and download the update to your pc, update the iPad from there and you don't need to delete anything. (worked like that on my iPhone anyway)

If it is an old iPad then don't update it, the old iOS will work better.

 

Asking these questions on Google is your best bet, always loads of other folk asking similar and easy to find an answer.

Installed update iOS 8.1.1 the other day, the only big difference I can see so far is that iPad takes longer to load pages:-/
